Help Your Elf Double Dozen Mixed

It's been a while since we rolled out a double dozen. Fair to say they have always sold well and offer excellent coverage for the requirements of the silly season.

Crackers here like Mitchell Kalmar - a $50 a bottle, single vineyard Shiraz, Deep Woods SBS - a trophy winner from Margaret River. Showblock Rosie, a 95 point, $85 a bottle blend from McLaren Vale and Greenock Estate's Sieger old vine Barossa Shiraz. Retail on this one is $50 and it represents incredible value. We reckon there are a couple of Barossa producers who'd offer this wine at $100 or more.

All up 24 bottles worth $964 for just $15 a bottle and the bulk of your Christmas entertaining catered for beautifully!

    Double Dozen Mixed
    Wines In This Pack
    McLaren Vale, SA
    95pts Sam Kim
A big, brooding beast, packed with blackberry, dark cherries, dark chocolate, baking spice and plenty of cedar. The generosity and ripeness of fruit is superb. Definitely worth decanting.
    Barossa Valley, SA
95pts Kim Brebach, 94pts Sam Kim
A powerhouse old vine Barossa Shiraz, which was given an 18 month sleep in A-grade French oak. Black fruits, chocolate, fig, cherries and vanilla all happening here, and the length and texture are sublime. If you like your Barossa Shiraz stamped 'pulls no punches', this is likely to make you very happy indeed.
    Clare Valley, SA
2018 was a pretty fine vintage, and the Mitchell Kalmar Vineyard, quite close to cellar door is an exceptional vineyard. Soooo, in 2018 the Mitchells made the call to pick, vinify and bottle this vineyard with the intention of releasing a standalone wine. It is a ripper, blacker, denser and with exceptional potential for ageing. The Kalmar is laden with black fruits, graphite, spice and more. The texture here is thick, without being overwhelming, and the palate extremely long. Drinkable now, yeppers, but will cellar like a champ too.
    Margaret River, WA
2 x Gold Medal, Top Gold and Trophy for best Dry White Blend in Show Adelaide
Deep Woods have quite the knack of picking up trophies! This is the second iteration of their Margaret River Ivory SSB to score a gold, top gold and Trophy at the Royal Adelaide Show. This edition has a heap of zip and crunch as snow pea, passionfruit, lemon curd and blossoms collide. As we’ve come to expect, perfectly attenuated acidity gives lift and life.
    Mount Benson, SA
    92pts Kim Brebach
Bright tropical fruits with guava and green mango melding with apple and a citric acid zing. A little skin contact is allowed during ferment to encourage texture and ferment is completed in concrete eggs. Planted in in 1992, the Hoopers had their first vintage in '96, eventually achieving organic and biodynamic certification in 2005. Their entire operation is off grid.
    South Australia
Peach and citrus aromas are supported by a little cedary French oak. Stone fruits and buttery goodness all at play on the palate which leads to a clean, dry finish.
