An amazing cobbling together here of good things, 13 of them, valued at over $700, which will set you back just $169. Yep $13 a bottle.
There's Showblock's $85 bottle, 95 point McLaren marvel, Karl's Scepter's violet and tobacco laden Coonawarra corker, Karl's Scepter's French oaked and black fruited fave and Cape Jaffa's effortlessy fruity, and classy Limestone Coaster.
3 each of the wines above, plus a bottle of Lone Palm Hillside Barossa Shiraz, which retails for $120. This is a magnificent, best of the Barossa kinda Shiraz - packed with flavour and nuance, just a joy to drink!
An explosive Barossa Shiraz from low yielding, old vineyards in Marananga and Stonewell, planted to the R6 and 1654 clones. There’s old vine fruit from Greenock, the vines so old that the clonal selection is unknown. Matured in a combination of new French and older American oak, this is a stunning Barossa Shiraz offering dense black fruits, blue fruits, blackberries, coffee, graphite, chocolate, minerals, liquorice, spice, blueberries, cedar and firm tannins. Stunning.
A big, brooding beast, packed with blackberry, dark cherries, dark chocolate, baking spice and plenty of cedar. The generosity and ripeness of fruit is superb. Definitely worth decanting.
A smooth and rich, mid weight Coonawarra Cab with luscious red and dark fruit, bell pepper, tomato leaf, plum and herbals all on the go. The oak here is French, the acid just right and tannin finish finely polished. A lovely wine.
A rich and satisfying, full bodied Barossa Shiraz offering generous and intense dark fruits, chocolate, vanilla, cherries, plum and spice. Cedary oak is evident too. Ask us about mates rates on this one!
A beautiful and fragrant mid-weight Limestone Coast blend of Shiraz and Cabernet. Cape Jaffa have a knack for making wines that are gloriously drinkable on release and improve, maybe not for 20 years, but for 5+ minimum. This offers, spice, florals and red fruit in abundance, which then leads to darker fruits, a litle cedar and a fine tannin finish. We love it.
