  1. A Ripping Selection of Reds
    12 pack - $24.58/bottle
    52% Off RRP
    A Ripping Selection of Reds
    Regular Price $610.00 $295.00
A wonderful selection of red wines from the Clare Valley, Adelaide Hills, Langhorne Creek, McLaren Vale and Barossa Valley. The Sieben Klon is a 95 pointer made by former St Henri growers, the Metala Legacy is as good a Cab as the Langhorne can make (which is mighty fine). Dowie Doole's Shiraz has black fruits, but also, and much rarer, blue fruits too. It is a belter. If all Shiraz had black and blue fruits, no one would buy anything else! Lone Palm's Old Vine Grenache will sell out in a few months and the Angas King Reserve is incredibly fresh for its age and has at least a decade ahead of it. We're predicting a lot of staff orders for this one. Learn More
  2. On Point Shiraz
    12 pack - $15.00/bottle
    64% Off RRP
    On Point Shiraz
    Regular Price $504.00 $180.00
At just $15 a bottle, this could be our best ever value Shiraz pack. The 'quaffer', aka Yarra Celebration Shiraz has scored an average of 4.4 stars out of 5 from customers who have bought it from us. We like it too... good fruit, mid weight, too good to be called a quaffer. The Angas King is a $75 a bottle stunner from the Clare. Richness, intensity and complexity in spades here in a wine which is only just entering its ideal drinking window and will drink well for at least another decade. Sidewood's Shiraz has harvested 12 gold medals and 96 points from Halliday. These are estate grown, hand tended vines- with the best fruit picked by a Pellenc select harvester. Lesser quality fruit does not find its way into this wine. Consider also, the use of 12 individual clones separately wild yeast fermented, given extended maceration on skins in barrel and then matured for 15 months in 100% French oak, 25% of which is new. Finally, only the best barrels make the cut for bottling. Learn More

  6. You Say Gris, I Say Grigio
    6 pack - $21.67/bottle
    18% Off RRP
You Say Gris, I Say Grigio
    Regular Price $158.00 $130.00
Gris VS Grigio Gris is French for Grey, Grigio is Italian for …. wait for it, grey! Pinot Gris or Grigio, if you prefer, hails from Burgundy in France, a region much better known for producing eye wateringly expensive Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. From Burgundy, it buggered off to all corners of the globe, and never really came home. There’s not much grown in Burgundy these days, but it might surprise you to know that, whilst uncommon, it is one of the 7 allowed grape varietals in Champagne production, and at least one producer has made a Champagne entirely from Pinot Gris. Its spiritual homes are arguably in Alsace, France, as ‘Pinot Gris’ and Northern Italy, where it goes by the name Pinot Grigio. You’ll find it in Trentino Alto Adige and Friuli Venezia, and some in the Veneto, a bit further south. Alsace makes the Gris style- which is ripe and textural and can have some residual sugar. The best of these are world class, textural wines offering nectarine. honey, richness, salinity and some kind of other worldly, umami style magic. They work brilliantly with foods high in umami… Northern Italy makes an altogether crisper style, with high acidity, green apple, minerality and crispness. These go well with sushi and sashimi, a pear, rocket and walnut salad, and fried gyoza… it works with more than that, but you get the idea. PG is beloved elsewhere too, as Grauburgunder in Germany, in NZ and Australia. Early on Aussie Pinot G naming conventions didn’t follow the logic set out by the styles of Alsace and Italy, so you could pour an Aussie grigio, only to find that it was weighty, pendulous and sense enveloping… alternately, an Aussie gris which was rather sharper and less overtly ripe. So… here a pack with one Aussie Grigio – well named for its crispness and delicacy, and 2 Aussie Gris, which are riper, more complex examples All 3 are terrific. Learn More

    12 pack - $24.58/bottle
    70% Off RRP
    Perfectly Cellared Award Winning Reds
    Regular Price $986.00 $295.00
We don't often offer you packs filled with aged reds, because it is hard to track down really high quality aged reds in decent quantities. Then the tasting panel have to agree on all of them and we're an argumentative lot when it comes to wine. Fortunately, the stars and planets have aligned in this selection of cellared reds, sourced direct from the winery. Mitchell's beautiful, 96 point 2015 Peppertree Shiraz. JJ Hahn's mind bendingly open and nuanced, 96 point, 130 year old vine Shiraz. Dandelion's exceptional Treasure Trove Grenache, off their Firehawk farm vineyard. 96 point, $200 a bottle Yaldara Grand. Farmers Leap’s full tilt, well oaked ripper from the 2016 vintage and Angas King's stunning, 2017 Reserve Shiraz from the Clare. Delicious wines, one and all, all drinking beautifully right now. 4 bottles each of Angas King’s magnificent, $75 a bottle, 2017 reserve Shiraz. We tried this twice on the tasting panel and loved it both times- it looked even better a day after opening and has a bright future ahead of it. Ken Gargett said, ‘still very young … powerful with a long and exciting future. Seamless, with bright acidity and silky tannins plus a very long finish which maintains the intensity. Drink now and for 10 to 20 years.’ You’ll also get 4 bottles of Martin’s 97 point $150 a bottle McLaren Vale Shiraz, and 4 of Karl Scepter’s 93-point, succulent and chocolatey Barossa Cab. Baker's dozens have been flying out the door of recent times, so after much chin stroking, we thought we'd best make a new one. Cracking booze too, with 95+ point stunners from Lone Palm, Lienert, Curtis, Red Deer and more and the debut of Karl's Scepter's Barossa Cab. It's a punchy beast - you might need to chargrill a T-Bone to tame it. Let us know how you get on. Learn More
