Only 1300 bottles were made of this single vineyard, estate Grown Cab- a product of the best fruit Dowie Doole grew in the 2019 vintage. It is the best wine we've ever tasted from DD! This is varietal, rich, smooth, powerful and has complexities which are just beginning to emerge and which will become more obvious with time. Choc mint- plums, violets and cedary oak all on the go here. A high-end Cab which is both powerful and elegant and still clearly retains an unmistakable varietal stamp. Produced from 120-year-old Grenache bush vines and 80 year old Shiraz vines. The fruit is cold soaked for 14 days before a slow ferment. It is then pressed into new and 2 year old oak where it is allowed to mature 18 months.
