Chateau Yaldara Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

An abundance of rich and ripe fruit, in a blackberry and mulberry fashion give way to a gentle herbal undertone, finishing with a hit of dark and sticky fruit. Lipsmacking! It drinks well from the first pop of the cork, but would cellar happily in the dungeon for another few years at least.

Allow us to prattle on a little more about this...

We've been enjoying a few selections from Chateau Yaldara over the past few months and this Cabernet is another we'll happily write about. Big bunches of ripe fruit showing blackberry and mulberry on the nose with a hint of oak and cigar smoke. A small wave of herbs follow next on the palate, with a few dried tomato leaves present. A hit of molasses at the end of the palate, still with fleshy ripe fruit persevering. Try this with a porterhouse or t-bone steak.
