Cellar Dwellers v2.0
At an average age of a bit over 4 years, these wines are just beginning to hit their straps. Rough edges knocked off, acid and fruit beginning to coalesce. Smoothness getting smoother, fruit peeking out from behind the curtains of tannin and oak. These wines are all in a very happy place, get into 'em!

Wines In This Pack
Here’s six slippery selections with the cellaring sorted. Sure, they will continue to improve but their vibrant fruit is centre stage and ready for you to enjoy. St John’s blend of Grenache, Mataro and Shiraz manages to show off the best attributes of each. Grenache brings spice, savoury characters, cherries and lip-smacking raspberry flavours. The Mataro underpins these with brooding dark fruits and smoked meats. The Shiraz supports with structural tannins, acidity and chocolate. Murray Street’s Shiraz has aromas of dark plum, liquorice, cherries and flavours of black fruits, blackcurrants, spice, pepper and cedar. Curtis’ Grenache is packed with blue fruit, spice and a hint of confection, it also has exceptional length. Thompson’s Margaret River Cab Shiraz is a complex wine offering dark fruits, dark chocolate, tomato leaf, plums, white pepper and violets. It is stunning! Kaesler Museum Release Shiraz is a full-bodied wine oozing maraschino cherry, mulberries, plum, graphite, cedar and gun smoke. Finally, the Johnston Shiraz is a fairly powerful beast. We saw blue and black fruits, mocha, spice, French oak and plenty of chalky tannins to finish.
