Allow us to prattle on a little more about this...

These $250ish Tasting Packs are a great way to get a hold of some premium wines at quite reasonable prices. For just over $20 a bottle you get access to Pertaringa’s $250 flagship 'The Yeoman' Shiraz and Hamilton’s flagship Centurion Shiraz, recently rated by master of wine Rob Geddes as one of the great Shiraz wines of the world. There’s a pair of lovelies from Zonte’s with 15 Gold Medals between them. The Chocolate Factory Shiraz is one out of the box and the Avalon Tree Cabernet is an inky purple beast packed with flavour. Monterra's Shiraz and Nero d’Avola have both picked up best in class trophies and we can't recommend them highly enough. Leconfield’s 2015 Cabernet is freshly rated at 95pts from James Halliday, balanced and drinkable now but with another 20 years ahead of it. We also loved the 2013 Howard Vineyard Amos Cabernet Franc. Dark chocolate, black tea, blackcurrants and more on the go. Delicious on opening, better a day later as ripe fig flavours join the party. Finally, the Deano and Mitch Shiraz, Curtis Cavaliere Shiraz and 919 Durif are powerful and complex beasts... think Chuck Norris chewing mammoth jerky whilst killing 2 stones with one bird and mentally composing haiku about himself in the fourth person.
