Bling a Ding Ding

Price as configured: $250.00

Only one non-award winner here, the Hamilton Centurion Shiraz, which has only just been released and should win a swag of awards and accolades in the following year. This is the best release we have seen and the last 4 vintages average a staggering 96 points from James Halliday. Everything else has bling a go-go - Alpha Crucis' stunningly intense 97 point Shiraz, Dandelion's double Gold Medal winner and Willunga 100’s 96 point Grenache made by Mike Farmilo, former maker of Penfold’s Grange.

Allow us to prattle on a little more about this...

Another quite amazing line up of tastiness with accolades and awards aplenty. All of these wines are superb. Highlights include Hamilton’s Centurion Shiraz with it’s lush and concentrated with layers of chocolate, coffee, black fruits and super fine tannins. Then there’s Alpha Crucis’ Shiraz, a perfumed powerhouse packed with dark fruit, hints of red liquorice, spice and velvet tannins. There’s chocolate and a bouquet of violets from Zonte’s with their 5 Gold/ 95 point Cab. See also Pertaringa’s 'Over the Top' Shiraz, equal parts power and elegance, and Willunga 100’s 2013 Tithing Grenache. We opened some 2010 at our staff show last year and it was so good it got drained before the 98 Grange and this is better – the most powerful and complete Grenache ever to grace our shelves. Get in my belly!
