Bleasdale The Wild Fig Shiraz Grenache Mourvedre 2020

$22.00
Medium bodied and long with excellent tension between fruit and structure, this is both lively and engaging. Fruit compote, blueberries, pepper, thyme, confected notes and star anise all conspire to make this a complex and compelling mouthful.

Bleasdale have been making wine for over 160 years and have really hit their stride in the last 10 years or so, producing consistently exceptional kit. Bleasdale’s ‘father’ Frank Potts planted Shiraz and Verdelho vines in the 1850s and built most of the original winery and equipment himself. In 1961 they produced their first varietal red wine from Malbec and their first sparkling red in 1964.
