Bleasdale Frank Potts 2012

Star anise, cassis, plum and blackberry compote on the nose. This is a big Cab blend with excellent persistence and power. Acid pulls dark fruits through like a freight train. Give it a decant for an hour or so if you are getting stuck into it soon, or cellar for up to 20 years. Drinks even better on the second day.

Allow us to prattle on a little more about this...

Bleasdale have been making wine for over 160 years and have really hit their stride in the last 10 years or so, producing consistently exceptional kit. Bleasdale’s ‘father’ Frank Potts planted Shiraz and Verdelho vines in the 1850s and built most of the original winery and equipment himself. In 1961 they produced their first varietal red wine from Malbec and their first sparkling red in 1964.
