Bird in Hand Syrah 2016

Bird in Hand threw their best Shiraz fruit at this wine and fermented 20% as whole bunches to maximise freshness and structure. This is zippily fruited and very youthful, great with charcuterie and other antipasto. Should cellar for a decade or more.

Allow us to prattle on a little more about this...

Bird in Hand was established in 1997 when viticulturist and winemaker Andrew Nugent left Tatachilla and planted the family vineyard at Woodside in the Adelaide Hills near the historic goldmine of the same name. Along with another vineyard in the notable Clare region, the great fruit and skilled work of this producer come together in a stellar range of wines. Ably assisted by Master of Wine, Kym Milne as Winemaker, the Nugents produce consistently exceptional wines.
