In theory this is an entry level wine for Ca’ Botta, carrying the IGT designation rather than the more favoured DOC or DOCG status. Why? Because this is a wine made using Amarone methods using primarily Amarone varieties with the inclusion of Cabernet which is not allowed in Amarone production… They add Cabernet to build freshness and change the tannin profile … to make something as good but a little different to a traditional Amarone. 2.2 kilos of fruit are needed to make just one bottle. We found herbs, black fruits, cherries, spice and pepper here on a pallet which is both concentrated and ethereal. A cracking wine and an absolute bargain. Learn More
In theory an entry level Bordeaux, this actually drinks like a vastly more expensive wine. The depth of fruit, effortless fleshiness and fruit weight of the palate and seamless glide into a bed of fine tannins marks this as a wine of class and style. Red fruits, back fruits, spice, cedar and minerality are all on the go here. Grab a few bottles to try, we suspect you’ll be back for more. Learn More

A standout from the Kilikanoon stable. From Kim Brebach, who gave it 96 points. ‘The fruit is gorgeous, rich and generous, the wine is big but soft and seductive, and the oak handling exemplary. The texture is velvet, the balance is perfect.’ A stunner which you can drink now, or age for up to another dozen years or so. Learn More
A classic Vintage of Bernoota, with the oak dialed back slightly and the fruit impressively powerful. Black fruits and spice, chocolate, vanilla, and plenty of fine-grained tannins. No made in every vintage and even then in tiny quantities. This blend sees early ripening Cab blended with Merlot and Cab Franc left to hand a little longer on the vine than normal. This enables the 3 varieties to be picked at the same time and co-fermented, resulting in the perfectly harmonious integration of flavours. Deep in colour; the nose is fresh, and bright, offering dark fruit aromas, cedar, cigar box and dark chocolate. It balances richness with elegance beautifully and finishes with perfectly modulated fine tannins. Learn More
