Aus vs France - High End Chardy 6 Pack

We're very excited to be offering this 6 pack, replete with 3 bottles apiece of Jean Loron's exceptional White Burgundy, aka French Chardonnay, from a place that arguably does Chardy better than anywhere else on the planet. Also heading your way, should you choose to order, 3 bottles of Heirloom's magical 'Assens Fortalice' Adelaide Hills cuvée. Both are slap in the middle of their perfect drinking windows too, being from the 2019 and 2018 vintages. Burgundy expert Bill Nanson said of the Jean Loron in 2020 'this wine is about the future ... more complexity and vibrance to this aroma, more barrel, saline, concentrated and certainly mineral. The finish is subtle but very persistent. The oak is an ever-present but here’s a wine that’s rather complete – and having tasted older vintages I know that the oak fades into the background – you should give this wine at least 3 years in the cellar – or I would anyway. Excellent wine, with the potential for great. Tasted in 2020.' We can confirm, this wine is now cherry ripe for drinking now and over the next 5-8 years. The Heirloom bottling represents the finest Chardonnay they can produce in any given vintage - this edition sees struck match handing the baton to stonefruits, pancake batter and melon. As you sip, swirl and taste, the flavors deepen and increase in richness and depth. Already excellent, this will be exceptional in a few more years All in all, a cracking Chardy pack and a great opportunity to compare 2 exceptional wines.

A stunning White Burgundy, aka Chardonnay, from a legendary producer who has been fermenting grapes since 1711. Bill Nanson, of the Burgundy Report, first tasted this wine 3 years ago, offering ‘More complexity and vibrance to this aroma – more barrel too ... a wine that’s more about the future. Wide, saline, concentrated, and certainly mineral. The finish is subtle but very persistent. You should give this wine at least 3 years in the cellar – or I would anyway. Excellent wine, with the potential for great.’ So, we’ve waited 3 years and the wine is ravishingly beautiful – voluptuous yet structured, pendulously stonefruity yet mineral, with a lovely cheese edge that comes from barrel worked and lees stirred Chardonnay. Magic stuff.
