    Wines In This Pack
    Barossa Valley, SA
97pts Kim Brebach, 97pts Sam Kim
Handpicked grapes from an 80-year-old contoured vineyard in Gomersal. Long slow fermentation including 10% whole bunch over 10 days before basket pressing into 30% new French and 70% older oak. A spicy and brightly fruited nose leads to a palate with exceptional concentration and structure. Red fruits, black fruits, compote, coffee grounds, plum, star anise, cocoa powder, black tea and fine, powdery tannins to finish. Really beautifully balanced.
    1 x Pasha McLaren Vale Shiraz 2018 (RRP $100.00)
    McLaren Vale, SA
Gold Medal, 96pts Winestate, 95pts Ned Goodwin, 95pts Kim Brebach, 96pts Sam Kim
This is thrilling! It’s old-school but perfectly balanced. ‘Tis packed with uber ripe, suppurating black fruits, dark cherry, compote, notes of furniture polish and spice, black pepper, chocolate, tobacco, and leather. The richness is tamed with good acidity, providing a backbone for all that expressiveness to hang on to and in so doing, show to best effect. Stunning!
    Barossa Valley, SA
95pts Sam Kim, 95pts Kim Brebach
An intense blend from the wineries best fruit from a west facing hillside block in the prized Barossa sub region of Marananga. A mix of mostly old and some new French and American oak is used here, allowing the oak to appear as a character rather than the plot. Black, more black and blue fruits, blackberries, coffee, graphite, chocolate, minerals, liquorice, spice, blueberries, cedar and firm tannins.
    McLaren Vale, SA
95pts Huon Hooke, 95pts Sam Kim, 94pts Kim Brebach, 92pts The Real Review
Produced from 120-year-old bush vines, this is an exceptionally concentrated wine. Dark fruits are bolstered with red as the wine straddles the line between confection and good black stuff and the wine finishes with super fine tannins. Superb.
    McLaren Vale, SA
    97pts Kim Brebach
Wow! A rich, voluptuous yet well structured red from Dandelion’s biodynamic Firehawk Farm vineyard. Inky black fruits are pierced by blackberries and then scented with cedar and spice. Long, rich and balanced. An exceptional wine.
    Eden Valley, SA
95pts Sam Kim, 93pts Real Review, 93pts Kim Brebach
Sourced entirely from the revered Stonegarden vineyard which was planted in 1858. Red fruits and perfume on the nose lead to a rich, densely fruited wine of significant depth and concentration. Finishes with heaps of fine tannins. Decant, or drink over a couple of days, or cellar for up to another 10 plus years.
    Langhorne Creek, SA
    93pts Kim Brebach
A beautifully fragrant and mouthwatering nose laden with violets, blackcurrants and dried oregano leads to a voluptuous palate. This is pristine, varietally perfect, medium bodied Cabernet. A joy to drink by itself and with lamb dishes.
    Langhorne Creek, SA
    93pts Kim Brebach
A quality, medium bodied Shiraz sourced from 50 year old Langhorne Creek vines. Juicy red fruits are bolstered by good acidity. The wine finished with vanilla, spindles of oak and fine tannins.
    Barossa Valley, SA
    95pts Sam Kim
The Lienert’s have been farming in the Barossa for 150 years and decided to add some vines to their property about 20 years ago. The first fruit from 2004 and 2005 vintages went straight to the pool room, aka into Penfold’s St Henri. Funnily enough they then planted a lot more vines and introduced many more clonal variations of Shiraz and Grenache. This Grenache is a brilliant amalgam of fragrance and grunt, thanks to the careful clonal selection and extensive blending trials undertaken before settling on the final ‘just right blend’. Whilst called Sieben Klon (Seven Clones) the Grenache actually includes 8 separate clones... as follows. BVRC38 – This is one of the nursery clones and has proved to be a great backbone, a bit of a goldilocks, Just right. Lovely red fruits, balance, mid weight and acidity. Simple and clean, not overly complex but blends well with everything... 30% of this clone was whole bunch fermented. Vine Vale Ancestor 1854 – This one is a bit more beastly, darker fruit spectrum and fuller richer palate, still plenty of subtlety but with some beautiful earthen tones. McLaren Vale High Sands – Without picking favourites this one is a beauty, lifted aromatics, mid weight, fine tannins, complex and saline edge, ocean mist. Ethereal Greenock Moppa Selection – Cuttings were taken from the Moppa foothills behind the town of Greenock. This clone is quite unique in its structure as well as noticeably darker colour than most, while still retaining a vibrant fruit character. Ebenezer Selection –This clone is elegant and complex, with a finely tuned tannin profile and lifted red fruit. Langhorne Creek Selection– This clone retains wonderful acidity and has a piercing fruit and aromatic profile, the odd one out as picked much earlier ~1.5-2 weeks before the others. Krondorf Selection– High end lifted fragrance and bouncy jubey fruit, as well as an underlying savouriness which rounds out the palate nicely.
    Clare Valley, SA
    92pts Kim Brebach
Described on the Real Review as ‘a Clare Valley Classic’, this is a full bodied, full throttle beast, just coming into its own at six years of age. Black and red fruits here, vanilla, berries and plenty of tannin. Tastes even better on day two.
    Fleurieu Peninsula, SA
93pts Kim Brebach, 91pts James Halliday
Deep dark and brooding, this Cab offers up blackcurrants, dark chocolate and superfine tannins. Delicious now but should last a decade if you store it somewhere nice and cool.

From old bush vines planted in 1947. Dry grown, hand pruned and picked, these vines produce exceptionally concentrated fruit. White pepper, kirsch and cherries in a medium bodied yet muscular and fruit intense setting. Plenty of fine tannins to finish. Drink now or cellar for 5-8 years.

ANZ Exclusive Dozens can sometimes feature the same wines when we have access to some regular beauties! This pack specifically features some new ones! Only one of these wines, the Pasha Shiraz, was in the ANZ Christmas Red Dozen, so there are plenty of new, amazing wines to try.

Lone Palm Vineyards feature twice with the ever popular Hillside Shiraz and the very special Stonehouse Neldner Shiraz. The tasting panel actually helped to produce some of the fruit that went into this stunningly complex Barossa Shiraz, so naturally, we love it and know you will too. Staying in Barossa, we have the Massena Stonegarden GMS blend, from the famed old vineyard and the Sieben Klon Grenache, which is a fantastic example of what happens when you take 7 different amazing clones of Grenache and plant them in the same vineyard! There are two other Grenache, the Hamilton Burtons and the Curtis Early Release, both from McLaren Vale, which is fast being recognized as Australia’s premier Grenache region. Elena & Zar Brooks are making some massive waves in McLaren Vale and their Shiraz Grenache Petite Sirah (also known as Durif) is a full bodied stunner! Even the snobbiest “Shiraz head” will love this wine! A few very high quality “quaffers” (even though it’s not really right to call them that!) in the Red Deer Station Shiraz and Cabernet and Finniss River’s Cabernet, complete a very impressive dozen!
