Wines In This Pack
4 x Curtis Heritage Chardonnay 2020 (RRP $35.00)
4 x Picardy Pemberton Chardonnay 2019 (RRP $38.00)
Spectacularly graceful and elegant Chardy made from Dijon clones 76, 95, 96 and 277. Yellow peach, brine, almond meal. Complex, long and deceptively light. Powerful yet graceful. Maximum of 3 tonnes per acre from their non-irrigated vineyard. Fruit is handpicked at about 12 baume with 40% retained as whole bunches. The wine is lees stirred in barrel once a week. The net effect is a wine with balance, precision and purity, with intense fruit carried forward by grapefruity acidity which is softened by the creaminess and complexed by super high-quality French oak. Yellow peach, brine, almond meal.
4 x First Creek 'Hunter Valley' Chardonnay 2019 (RRP $30.00)
Hunter Valley, NSW
94pts James Halliday
Beautifully textural this chardonnay thanks to high quality fruit and 9 months spent in French oak, with plenty of lees stirring helping to build texture and develop flavour. Grapefruit, stonefruit, almond meal, citrus and toasty oak. A terrific drink over the next few years. James Halliday rates First Creek Wines as a 5 red star producer, his highest accolade and offers the following... ‘The quality of the wines has been consistently exemplary, and there is every reason to believe this will continue in the years to come.’
