Allow us to prattle on a little more about this...

Some excellent quaffing talent in this range of reds. McLaren Vale shines with Zonte’s Footstep Peacock’s Fan Grenache. Triple Gold for this zippy and bright medium bodied drop, with an array of red fruits and spice. Phil Lehmann takes fruit from all around for his Protagonist Shiraz under the Hesketh label. It’s a perfect pizza night quaffer with loads of great fruitful blackness. Curtis’ Cavaliere is a secret weapon for those curious neighbours, it’s loaded with classic McLaren Vale Shiraz pizzazz, think dark fruits and oaky spice. For something slightly cooler climate, Tim Adams 2012 Bayes Block Shiraz is beautiful - plenty of oak, chocolate flavours chasing aniseed drops, this vintage is our favourite yet. Willowglen’s Cab Merlot from De Bortoli in the Riverina area of NSW is soft and juicy and great for everyday drinking and Grant Burge’s GB 51 Cabernet Shiraz shows blue and black fruits with a velvety mouthfeel amidst some French and American oak. Don’t be shy, put on a spread, invite the fam over for a feed or just settle in for dinner on the couch with this lot.
