Yep, $1490 worth of Shiraz for just $360 is why this pack can’t be found on our website unless you’ve been given the link... and if you’re seeing this it must mean we value you a lot. The 4 bottles apiece of 3 stunning Shiraz themselves warrant grabbing a doz or more, the kicker is a bonus bottle of The Stonehouse Neldner Vineyard Barossa Icon Shiraz. Wines In This Pack
1 x Stonehouse Neldner Vineyard Barossa Valley Icon Shiraz 2020 (RRP $150.00)
Barossa Valley, SA
97pts Kim Brebach, 97pts Sam Kim
Handpicked grapes from an 80-year-old contoured vineyard in Gomersal. Long slow fermentation including 10% whole bunch over 10 days before basket pressing into 30% new French and 70% older oak. A spicy and brightly fruited nose leads to a palate with exceptional concentration and structure. Red fruits, black fruits, compote, coffee grounds, plum, star anise, cocoa powder, black tea and fine, powdery tannins to finish. Really beautifully balanced.
4 x Martins Vineyard Limited McLaren Vale Shiraz 2018 (RRP $150.00)
McLaren Vale, SA
Gold Medal, 97pts Sam Kim, 94pts James Halliday, 95pts The Real Review, 95pts Bob Campbell
This is unequivocally an even better edition of the Martin’s than we have seen previously, which is perhaps no surprise given it is a product of the 2018 vintage. Again, we see relatively low alcohol for a big Aussie red which, perhaps counterintuitively, allows the wine to appear as more fruit dense and concentrated than it might if it were half a degree or a full degree more ‘potent’. Fruits are blacks and blues, depth and length are superb, cedar and vanilla are a perfumed accompaniment to the fruit rich nose, and the tannins, polished, waxy and plentiful. The overall package, outstanding!
4 x Lone Palm Vineyards Hillside Shiraz 2020 (RRP $120.00)
Barossa Valley, SA
95pts Sam Kim, 95pts Kim Brebach
An intense blend from the wineries best fruit from a west facing hillside block in the prized Barossa sub region of Marananga. A mix of mostly old and some new French and American oak is used here, allowing the oak to appear as a character rather than the plot. Black, more black and blue fruits, blackberries, coffee, graphite, chocolate, minerals, liquorice, spice, blueberries, cedar and firm tannins.
4 x Manser 'Block 4' Adelaide Hills Shiraz 2019 (RRP $65.00)
Adelaide Hills, SA
5 x Gold Medals, 96pts Sam Kim, 95pts Winestate Magazine
Perched on top of the Manser vineyard is a small, productive four acres of Shiraz planted on rich, red soil enjoying full sun during the growing season. These vines produce rich, ripe, black fruit with intense flavor forming the majority of their reserve wine. This release is both powerful and refined, with black fruits resolving into cedar, vanilla and fine tannins. The finish is rich and long. Decant for an hour or two or cellar for up to 10-15 years.
