2023 Super Loong Lunch Mixed Pack (incl. $50 donation)

We’re back again this year with another stellar line up of wines to help the excellent work done by the Super Loong Lunch team. We've gone a little continental this year and not only crammed these deals full of the best wines from around Australia, we've even brought a little European action to the red and mixed dozens.

This year Ben, Laura, Christian and Asher Cuthbertson need our help and support. To already have been through what they have as a family is unimaginable, to go through it again leaves me speechless.

To help as much as we can, here at, we will donate $50 for every dozen sold to aid efforts in this year's fundraiser.

To say this years packs are stacked would be an understatement, the three packs up for grabs are a premium red pack with over $900 worth of wine for $270, a white pack with $370 worth of value for $260 and a mixed pack with over $640 worth for $265. Of course, as always, the most important part is the $50 donation for every dozen sold going to the 2023 Super Loong Lunch Fundraising efforts to help the Cuthbertson family.

As is now tradition, we like to make sure we have a couple of showstoppers in the mix every year, lead this year by the 2018 Pasha McLaren Vale Shiraz, one of our all time bestselling reds, graced with scores of 96 and 95pts and more fun than you can have at a spin the bottle party. Also heading up our offers is the stately Yaldara Grand Cuvee Cabernet Shiraz, bringing a retail value of $200 and multiple scores of 96pts, it is the epitome of grace and begs to be enjoyed in a smoking jacket by the fire.

    Wines In This Pack
    McLaren Vale, SA
Gold Medal, 96pts Winestate, 96pts Sam Kim, 96pts Kim Brebach, 95pts Ned Goodwin, 93pts James Halliday
This is thrilling! It’s old-school but perfectly balanced. ‘Tis packed with uber ripe, suppurating black fruits, dark cherry, compote, notes of furniture polish and spice, black pepper, chocolate, tobacco, and leather. The richness is tamed with good acidity, providing a backbone for all that expressiveness to hang on to and in so doing, show to best effect. Stunning! Worth getting in touch with us for mate's rates on this one.
    Barossa Valley, SA
96pts Sam Kim, 96pts Kim Brebach, 95pts Ken Gargett
A staggeringly deep and complex expression of the best bits of the Barossa Valley. Dark chocolate, tobacco leaf, cedar, cassis, plums, cherries, spice and vanilla. This is supple, velvety, long and finished with supple, waxy, mouthcoating tannins. Incredible.
    Yarra Valley, Vic
94pts Sam Kim, 93pts Kim Brebach
Delicate on opening, this Chardonnay grows in stature and depth of flavour as it breathes. There is a creamy, almost cheesy character from lees stirring while the wine was in barrel, good acid, subtle French oak and plenty of stonefruits. Lovely!
    Barossa Valley, SA
96pts Sam Kim, 96pts Kim Brebach, 95pts James Suckling
Serious, old vines Grenache this- with a degree of intensity you don’t always find in Grenache. The tannins are plentiful and savoury, the fruits black, flecked with reds and tightly coiled. Needs decanting, Officially awesome!
    Barossa Valley, SA
94pts Sam Kim, 92pts Kim Brebach
A rich and satisfying, full bodied Barossa Shiraz offering generous and intense dark fruits, chocolate, vanilla, cherries, plum and spice. Cedary oak is evident too. Ask us about mates rates on this one!
    Bordeaux, France
93pts Sam Kim, 93pts Kim Brebach
In theory an entry level Bordeaux, this actually drinks like a vastly more expensive wine. The depth of fruit, effortless fleshiness and fruit weight of the palate and seamless glide into a bed of fine tannins marks this as a wine of class and style. Red fruits, black fruits, spice, cedar and minerality are all on the go here. Grab a few bottles to try, we suspect you’ll be back for more.
    Adelaide Hills, SA
93pts Wine Showcase Magazine, 93pts Sam Kim, 93pts Kim Brebach
Crisp and dry, this is packed with pear, tickled with talc, misted with musk and gleefully grapefruity. Only free run juice from whole bunch pressings were used and a small percentage of the wine spent time in old French oak. The result is a mixture of freshness and texture. This is a wonderful Pinot Gris.
    Adelaide Hills, SA
    Gold Medal, 94pts Kim Brebach
Everything about this wine screams fun! The body is sumptuous, with its blend of Tempranillo, Sangiovese, Shiraz and some Montepulciano for good measure, the palate is all sorts of intriguing with cherries, spice, sarsaparilla and red currants. A lot like chatting to the most interesting person at the party, it leaves you feeling all the better for having had the experience.
    Adelaide Hills, SA
92pts Kim Brebach, 91pts James Halliday
Juicy, crunchy and ripe. Grapefruit, lemon blossoms and zest, passionfruit and more are at play here. The palate is textural by SB standards, the finish long and dry. Very tasty.
    Adelaide Hills, SA
96pts Winestate Magazine, 93pts Wine Showcase Magazine
Light with an engaging texture, this Gru-v offers pear, apples, citrus blossom and a hint of pepper. The finish shows some minerality and has excellent length and acidity.
McLaren Vale and Adelaide Hills, SA
    Gold Medal
Pale strawberry pink in colour with lifted floral aromas and a palate bursting with fresh red berries, red apple and strawberries. This Rosé has a bright, refreshing finish and is best enjoyed chilled.
    Adelaide Hills, SA
Super expressive strawberries, raspberries and cherry morph into citrus and stonefruit. The palate is creamy, the bead fine. To summarise, ‘Yum’! The Pinot Noir components comprise the superb and low yielding Burgundian clones of 777, 114 and 115. Both the Pinot and Chardy are planted at 470m above sea level.
