Allow us to prattle on a little more about this...

The Chain of Ponds Reserve Shiraz Cabernet is enjoyable now with the age under its belt, yet still offers a couple of years further cellaring potential. The Deano and Mitch 2012 Cabernet has grown up to become a smoother, richer, tastier version of its younger self and still delivers excellent length and persistence of flavour. Chocolate, cherries and spice accompany the hit of vanilla from the careful use of American oak in the Stalking Horse Shiraz. The Leconfield Woven Leaf Shiraz is drinking well now but will happily cellar for a few more years. If the cold weather hits in the next few weeks, any of these wines would prove a perfect match to your favourite comfort food, and at $12.50 a bottle might just be that bit more tempting.
