2008 Mountadam Eden Estate Chardonnay

One of Australia’s best

This is made from finest quality Chardonnay grapes and deserves its reputation as one of Australia’s best. Flavours are of melon and stonefruit kernel, with a hint of creaminess thrown in. The fruit is subtle yet intense and the pallet rich and long.

2010 Willowglen Chardonnay

A dry, medium-bodied chardy with a touch of oak to knit lashings of stonefruit into a tight finish. Very table-friendly wine built for dinners, it will play very nicely with grilled tuna and roasted chicken.

2008 Ravenswood Lane Prominent Hill Chardonnay

Get some before Yvette drinks it all

Ravenswood Lane’s Prominent Hill Chardy is a superb $30 wine. Rich, creamy and textural, lovely with seafood. Look for creamy, malolactic influence and plenty of stonefruits.

2010 Forest Hill Chardonnay

Here’s a new world chardy made in a modern style. If the Chaurduennays (daahling) consumed in the gents clubs of yore were fat, pasty and double breasted (or chinned) then this is lean, taut and well defined. Not quite wearing Speedos, but will get your taste buds racing… screwcap.

2010 Grant Burge Summers Chardonnay

This is a study in contrast. Big but refined. Creamy but taut. Delicate and powerful. Delicious but age worthy. Our tasting panel loves wines like these because they invite the same kind of discussion, discovery and enjoyment that you’ll find when you crack this around the dinner table with your besties. High quality oak, fresh and creamy fruit and hints of ginger powder on the nose. Beautiful textures and yeasty creaminess from lees stirring. Good acid and excellent balance of stonefruit and bready yeastiness.

2011 Battle of Bosworth Chardonnay

Certified orgasmic

Bob chardy is a revelation; one of few in the Vale producing top end chardy. This is linear and taut. Lots of almond meal, grapefruit and hints of stone fruit. Length is superb and texture beguiling.

2009 Dandelion Chardonnay

Balanced and beautifully complex this wine offers fresh, bright stone fruits nestled in a bed of cashew and vanilla bean. The acid adds a citrus note and is plentiful enough to carry the pendulous fruits. The Oak is lurvely and toasty too.
