2008 Petaluma Croser Vintage

Let the silly season begin

Croser Vintage is a very elegant and fine style of bubby. Accents on lemony fruit, blossoms and hints of brioche. Bead is persistent and fine. Suitable then for use as an aperitif, great with oysters.

2000 Petaluma Croser Late Disgorged

Croser Late Disgorged bubbles spends most of its life in bottle on lees (dead yeast cells). After a year or 2 these cells start to break down (autolysis) and impart a bready, honeyed character to the wine. The base wine is initially very high quality, but very austere. The passage of time and autolysis created a complex, refreshing and almost hearty style of sparkling. Bloody lovely!
