This brand spanking new wine from Tim Adams has just finished a 2 year stint in French oak. It’s a big Cab Merlot blend and the fruit has soaked up the oak beautifully, showing stunning fruit intensity and clarity with a cedary finish. Lots of Cab characters here, like violets and blackcurrant, softened beautifully by plump, plummy merlot… screwcap. From Clare Valley fruit, this is a weighty red from a skilled winemaker.

2008 Henry's Drive Morse Code Padthaway Red Blend

This is unequivocally classy Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot blend from Henry's Drive. This one has picked up a gold medal, pretty good for red valued at 16 bucks. It is a rich, thick wine with plenty of black and blue fruits, a smooth pallet and a juicy, plummy finish. Now the only blood that need be spilt can happily flow from a gigantic T-Bone.
